Used and rebuilt Steinways perform marvelously for far less than the price of a new Steinway. This is especially true of quality rebuilt Steinways, in which a Steinway piano case is restored to its original condition and brand new components of the highest quality are then installed in the case.
Basically, quality rebuilt Steinway pianos perform as well as new Steinways at prices that are thousands of dollars less. It’s no wonder that Steinway itself says that they’re its biggest competition.
