Weber pianos from Young Chang

picture of Weber pianos by Young ChangThe Weber line of pianos is manufactured by Young Chang and is identical to its Young Chang counterparts. Weber pianos originated in the 1800s and were once a strong competitor to Steinway. Its originator, Albert Weber, passed away in 1879, and his brand was purchased by Aeolian in 1905, and continued until 1985 when Aeolian folded and the Weber line was acquired by Young Chang.

Focus on Albert Weber

While Young Chang still manufactures Weber pianos, we believe that its long-term plans are to phase out the entry and mid-level Weber models and to focus on the Albert Weber as an upscale piano brand a la Infiniti or Lexus. Until that happens, however, Weber remains a strong brand at the entry and mid-levels of the market.

In particular, its WLG50 and WLG51 are very strong entry level baby grands at 4'11" and 5'2", respectively.
