Burbank, CA – May 29, 2018 – Hollywood will turn out to honor Hollywood Piano’s 90th Anniversary at a star studded event June 21st, 2018. The celebration weekend kicks off with an invitation only reception Thursday June 21. A red carpet followed at 6:30 followed by a presentation of awards by local organizations and politicians. The invitees for this glamorous event features many well known faces from the worlds of music, television, and politics. including Governor Brown, Luitenent Governor Newsom, Senator Feinstein, Congressman Schiff, The Mayor of Burbank, Bard Ellis (the Piano Guy from Glee), Michael Orland (American Idol music director), Nigel Lythgoe, Scott MacIntyre, Lana Delray, Jay Leno, Justin Beiber, Bruce Vilanch and many many more.

The evening will also feature the presentation of the first two “Piano Hero” awards”. Each year this award will be presented to two individuals one from the world of music or entertainment and the other a notable public figure not in show business who through their examples have promoted the benefits of playing music and inspired others to have interest in music and primarily the piano. This year’s awards will be presented to Mayor Eric Garcetti of Los Angeles and the legendary Stevie Wonder.
Hollywood Piano’s rich history dates back to 1928 at the beginning of sound in motion pictures. The company has provided some of the most important pianos in film and TV history from “Casablanca” to “All In the Family” to “Frasier” to “Dreamgirls” to “Ray” to “La La Land”.
Hollywood Piano has been honored over the years for many philanthropic endeavors.
The company supports hundreds of local charities and continually gives back to the community sponsoring music & education in schools colleges and performing arts organizations, and is the official supplier of pianos to the Burbank Philharmonic, Pasadena Symphony, Pasadena Pops, California Philharmonic, Skirbal Center and dozens of other not for profit entities in the greater Los Angeles area.
